John is a former White House Correspondent, former Senior Copy Editor for CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer,” and author of five mystery-suspense novels featuring a strong female protagonist. He is a writing coach, manuscript editor and writing workshop leader. In addition, he taught journalism at The University of Maryland-College Park. His latest novel, Fake, features a White House correspondent in the era of #MeToo and "fake news." The book received a Reader Views Literary Award. The fourth novel in his series, Bullet In The Chamber, won 1st place in the Reviewers Choice Award and the Feathered Quill Book Award.
