Marissa Meyer discusses & signs CURSED, the sequel to GILDED

Please join us at Barnes and Noble- Frisco on Sunday, November 13th, as we welcome author Marissa Meyer to celebrate the release of her epic conclusion to the Gilded duology with her newest book Cursed.

Marissa Meyer is the #1 New York Times-bestselling author of The Lunar Chronicles, Heartless, The Renegades Trilogy, and Instant Karma, as well as the graphic novel duology Wires and Nerve. She holds a BA in Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University and a MA in Publishing from Pace University. In addition to writing, Marissa hosts The Happy Writer podcast. She lives near Tacoma, Washington, with her husband and twin daughters.

**If you are not vaccinated, masks are strongly recommended** To make this event safe and enjoyable for all attendees, please read the below guidelines so you know what to expect on the day. To avoid disappointment, we must stress that there will be no access to the event for non-wristband holders.

• To attend this event, you will need to reserve and purchase a copy of Cursed from the Frisco Barnes & Noble location.  Call (972-688-2820) or stop by in store between now and Monday 11/07 to reserve your copy.
• Books will be available to purchase starting 11/08. Wristbands will be given at time of purchase in store. Update 11/3/2022-Books are available for purchase now.
• Both wristband and book are needed to attend the event. 
• Store will open at 11am day of event, with some fun-filled activities planned, including a Cosplay Contest!  Categories to win will include Truest to Character, Audience Favorite and Most Creative.
• Line-up for discussion seating will begin promptly at 1pm (early line-up for seating will not be possible due to space limitations) following the final costume contest winner being announced.
• Final seating will end at 1:50pm for the discussion to begin at 2pm.  Seating for the discussion & Q&A session with Marissa will be limited to the first 100 wristband holders on day of event.
• For those unable to attend the discussion, live streaming will be available via our BookTok feed at @bnfrisco  

Marissa will be willing to personalize all copies of Cursed plus one additional book of the guest’s choice.  Additionally, she will sign any additional stock or merchandise (such as Lunar Chronicles paraphernalia including bookmarks, tote bags, etc.) but will not personalize it.  She is happy to take photos across the signing table with guests and appreciates the need for social distancing.

Cursed has arrived early than expected. Good news you can come pick up between now and 11/13/22. You will receive your wristband once you have paid for your copy in store. Once again, your wristband is for the signing line only. Discussion space is first come first serve day of the event. We are working on being able to expand the amount of people that can be in the discussion space.

Events to fill the day include:

Fan Art Contest- If you would like to enter the contest, please bring in your art the week before the event so that we can have it ready to display the day of for voting. Contact for this will be Lizzie in-store. There will be a prize for the winner of best fan art. 

Photo Booth-We will have a fun themed fairytale themed photo booth. 

Ships and Favorite Quotes Wall-Please come prepared to tell us your favorite quotes and who your favorite ships are.
