Meet Philly Sports Icon Mike Missanelli and Shima the Shiba

Join us at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 3rd from 2:00-4:00pm to meet Philly broadcasting firebrand Mike Missanelli.

Fans who know Mike understand that he cut his teeth as a sports beat reporter for both the Inquirer and the Daily News, covering all four major pro leagues, as well as college and minor leagues all over the country. More recently, Mike has become a fixture on the Philly sports talk circuit, consistently bringing in huge ratings for his raw and unflinching takes on the world of sports, the world of movies, and the world in general.

Now Mike has set his sights on a new area - children's literature!

The first of an intended series of books, The Adventures of Shima the Shiba tells the story of Mike adopting an adorable Shiba Inu puppy, and how they have changed each other's lives in ways that neither was expecting.

Told from Shima's point of view, readers will follow Shima on her first car ride home, her first visit to the vet, and so many more wonderful experiences. Though it's not always the smoothest sailing for Shima (or Mike!) the two of them come to love one another and end each day cuddling as they drift off to sleep.

The Adventures of Shima the Shiba makes a wonderful gift for that child, pet lover, or sports fan in your life. We've timed the event close to the holiday because while a book is always a perfect gift, an autographed copy is always somehow a little better.
