Join Barnes & Noble - The Grove at Farmers Market on Thursday, December 1, 2022, as we welcome the founder and director of Truby’s Writers Studio, John Truby, to the store to discuss & sign THE ANATOMY OF GENRES: HOW STORY FORMS EXPLAIN THE WAY THE WORLD WORKS, a guide to understanding the major genres of the story world.

Books can be purchased at Barnes & Noble – The Grove at Farmers Market starting Thursday, December 1^st at 11:00 am. You are not required to purchase a book to attend this event, but if you'd like to get it signed, you must purchase the book before the start of the event.

Disclaimer: Limited quantity is available and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchase of a ticket guarantees entrance to the event for the discussion and signing. However, this ticket may not necessarily guarantee a seat at the event, as later arrivals may be placed in a line behind the seated audience.

Guests will be admitted into the event beginning at 6:30 PM the day of the event. Please have your wristband visible for check-in.

ABOUT JOHN TRUBY:

John Truby is the founder and director of Truby’s Writers Studio. Over the past thirty years, he has taught more than fifty thousand students worldwide, including novelists, screenwriters, and TV writers. Together, these writers have generated more than fifteen billion dollars at the box office.
Truby has an ongoing program where he works with students who are actively creating shows, movies, and novel series. He regularly applies his genre techniques in story consulting work with major studios including Disney, Sony Pictures, Fox, HBO, the BBC, Canal Plus, Globo, and AMC.
