When a group of explorers undertake an adventure in search of a dragon egg, they encounter more than they hoped. Allister Langston, alongside her younger brother and group of Rovers survive a pirate siege and walk away with the illusive egg only to learn there are more dangerous forces at play. A Warlock, with eyes for the egg, reveals a portal to another realm, with beings even more powerful than anyone could have imagined. Desperate to keep her people alive, Allister volunteers to enter this new realm as a messenger and soon discovers that her ancient relatives hailed from Halberra. Battling to keep both realms safe, Allister embarks on a new journey to harness her ever growing gift while attempting to balance a new love with her new-found self.
