Booked for the Summer Storytime with Jean Derespina

Jean and Frank loved boating. They decided it would be great to have another family member travelling with them, so they visited their local animal shelter and found me!

Introducing the Famous Phoebe of Long Island! I was 10 weeks old when Jean and Frank took me home. By spring, I was well trained and ready to spend every weekend on the boat with my forever family. My first trip was to beautiful Sailors Haven on Fire Island, New York. We also went all the way to the tip of Long Island to visit Montauk that summer! Young children will fall in love with my story. Jean helped me with the writing, and we were portrayed with beautiful illustrations by Amelina Jones. Children will want to hear about my adventures time and time again.

When Phoebe was a young pup, she was adopted from a shelter by Jeana and Frank. She had no idea how exciting life with her forever family would be. Phoebe’s new parents planned to take her with them on all their boat trips.
Come along as Phoebe tells the story of her first boat trip to Sailors Haven on Fire Island. When they took off into the Great South Bay, Phoebe was a bit frightened, but she soon realized what a delightful adventure she and her new parents would have as they explored the wondrous national park from the forest to the beach, making many friends along the way.

The Famous Phoebe of Long Island is back on her boat, and this time she's going all the way to Montauk! Even better, her parents' friends are going to Montauk too, and they have a new pup, Rocky. Phoebe knows that she and her new friend will have a super time together. But Phoebe soon learns that being a friend means more than just having fun. When another new friend's baby goes missing, Phoebe and Rocky have to team up to help save her!
