Noah Gittell signs copies of BASEBALL: THE MOVIE
About this Event
The first definitive history of this film genre, BASEBALL: THE MOVIE is a look back at an American pastime through the lens of films since 1915. Writer and critic Noah Gittell sheds light on popular classic films and less seen gems, and explores how this pocket of cinema presents a stage through which the ideals of America are born, performed, and defined.
Noah Gittell is a culture critic who writes for publications that include The Atlantic, The Ringer, GQ, Esquire, The Guardian and the Los Angeles Review of Books. He is a regular film critic for the Washington City Paper and frequently contributes to the BBC. As a mainstay with the Smithsonian Associates, he presents lectures on film topics several times a year.
Noah will be with us from noon until 3pm.
