Hope Levy Sings Connie Converse! — Live Performance & Album Signing

Join Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Hope Levy for a special in-store live performance featuring songs from her acclaimed tribute album, Hope Levy Sings Connie Converse!, followed by an album signing.
Hope Levy Sings Connie Converse! is available at Barnes & Noble Valencia and online at BarnesandNoble.com. The album celebrates the remarkable songs of pioneering singer-songwriter Elizabeth “Connie” Converse, whose quirky, poetic, and deeply personal music—written and performed in 1950s New York City—anticipated the folk revival of the 1960s by nearly a decade. In 1974, Connie mysteriously disappeared and was never seen again, leaving behind a body of work that continues to captivate and inspire new generations of listeners.
Hope Levy’s musical roots began in Marin County, California, where, as a child, she recorded the 45 Hope and Her Friends, featuring songs by Marla Hunt of the pioneering all-female rock band Ace of Cups and acclaimed singer-songwriter Laura Allan. She also sang on a children’s album with legendary folk singer-songwriter Malvina Reynolds and hosted the weekly children’s television show Just Kidding on KRON Channel 4.
Today, Hope is a singer-songwriter, actress, and voice artist who tours nationally with her acclaimed live musical presentation, The Connie Converse Universe – Searching for the “Amelia Earhart of Folk Music,” winner of Outstanding Musical at the 2024 San Diego International Fringe Festival. Her extensive performance and voice credits include singing “Welcome to Duloc” in Shrek, vocals and voice-over work for James Cameron’s Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water, voicing Mom in Netflix’s The Boss Baby: Back in Business, and voicing Rebecca Chambers in Capcom’s Resident Evil.
Copies of Hope Levy Sings Connie Converse! will be available for purchase in-store and can be personally signed by Hope following the performance.
