Joint Author signings with our local poets for poetry month! Starting at 1pm on the 20th we'll be welcoming both Elle Madison and Thomas Kneeland into our store.&nbsp;Both Local residents, Elle Madison is a twenty-something from the north side of Indy. She credits rom-coms for her romanticism of questionable men in the past. This will be our first time at our store to welcome her in for a signing!As for Thomas Kneeland though originally from California, raised in Missisipi now living in central Indianapolis.&nbsp;&nbsp;He is author of&nbsp;We Be Walkin&rsquo; Blackly in the Deep&nbsp; and a 2022 Frontier Poetry Global Poetry Prize finalist for the continent of Africa!We're so glad to be hosting them both and excited to see everyone who is able to join us!

It was a delight to study the liturature and learn the narrative techniques used by the author of Genesis&mdash;and bring it all into a modern novel. The advent of Oren of Susa, as a way for the reader to enter Adam's experience was a turning point in the project.&nbsp;The Confessions of Adam&nbsp;was my debut novel, my primary creative achievment while earning my MFA at Butler University. His father&rsquo;s library of commentaries now lines a wall in his home.In his debut novel,&nbsp;The Confessions of Adam,&nbsp;a re-telling of the universal and dramatic narrative that opens the book of Genesis, he has crafted a richly imagined story of creation and its aftermath&mdash;drawing on a lifetime of familiarity with the text as well as more recent study. The Confessions of Adam was a 2020 Oregon Christian Writers Cascade Award finalist and a 2021 Illumination Award medalist.David J. Marsh holds a BS in Communications from Grace College, Winona Lake, IN and an MFA in Creative Writing from Butler University, Indianapolis. The Confessions of Adam: A Novel

Jeff Darren Muse author signing April 6th from 1pm-3pm by customer service.&nbsp;The book was a finalist for a&nbsp;2023 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award Jeff Darren Muse is a fatherless, childless Hoosier who wouldn't and couldn't stay put.&nbsp;Part Generation X travelogue, part love letter, part reflection on White male identity,&nbsp;Dear Park Ranger&nbsp;searches for purpose, companionship, a lost father, and home. Muse must break trail to find his way. From the farms and football fields of central Indiana, to snowy West Coast wildlands, from desert canyons, to meandering rivers, to a city built by slavery, he interrogates his younger years shaped by insecurity and wanderlust, as well as later choices such as marrying "Ranger Paula" and pursuing a tree hugger's career. At turns humorous and self-deprecating, redemptive and resolute, this is one man's stirring gut check through inner and outer terrain.
