Join Barnes & Noble - Union Square on Sunday, May 19th at 2:00 PM as we welcome GRAMMY award winning and Emmy-nominated singer and songwriter Scott Hoying and author and songwriter Mark Hoying, as they discuss HOW LUCKY AM I?.With lush illustrations and rhythmic storytelling, this lyrical and charming picture book encourages all to appreciate the beauty of everyday life and those we share it with.

• Barnes & Noble reserves the right to make new rules and orders in its sole discretion with regard to COVID-19 at any time and any person not abiding by the Barnes & Noble directives will be refused entrance or directed to leave the premises.

TICKETING INFORMATION

Solo Book Admission - $20.73 (Admission + one copy of HOW LUCKY AM I? + 5-cent bag fee): **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**: A ticket PER PERSON includes:

• One copy of HOW LUCKY AM I? (out 5/21/24).
• Admission to the event space and signing line with Scott and Mark Hoying.

Adult & Child Book Admission - $20.73 (Admission for one adult & one child under 12 + one copy of HOW LUCKY AM I? + 5-cent bag fee): **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**: A ticket PER PERSON includes:

• One copy of HOW LUCKY AM I? (out 5/21/24).
• Admission for one adult and one child under 12 to the event space and signing line with Scott and Mark Hoying.

Scott and Mark Hoying will pose for photos. A B&N staffer will be on-hand to take your photo.

Scott and Mark Hoying will sign and personalize (name only) ONE copy of HOW LUCKY AM I? per person. All other copies will be signed signature only.

Any gifts for the authors will be collected prior to the signing line.

Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.

Please arrive by 2:00 PM in order to secure your seat in the event space. Late arrivals may only have access to standing room and may not have the opportunity to meet the authors.

GUIDELINES

Scott will sign (signature only) copies of his albums. No other memorabilia will be signed at this event.

No large bags will be permitted into the event.

Ticket holders will be admitted into the event beginning at 1:30 PM the day of the event. Please have a copy of your ticket available (either printed out or on your phone) for check in.

Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.

Please note that Eventbrite is the only authorized dealer for this event. Each person must have a ticket to enter.

REFUNDS

Attendees can receive refunds up to 1 day (24 hours) before your event start time.

If you are unable to attend the event, Barnes & Noble - Union Square will hold your book for seven days after the event. Please contact the store to arrange your pickup.

Should this event be canceled, all customers will be refunded their ticket price to the original method of payment per Eventbrite's refund policy.

Born into a world of endless skies, natural wonders, and friends waiting to be found–a mayfly, with only a single day to live, flies high into the beauty of it all. But when he sees all the other mayflies pairing off, he wonders if he will have to spend his day alone. Could it be that he just needs to fly a little higher to meet his match?

With lush illustrations and rhythmic storytelling, How Lucky Am I? encourages us all to appreciate the beauty of everyday life and those we share it with.

The book will include a QR code to link readers to the original "How Lucky Am I?" song, written by the authors and performed by Scott Hoying.

ABOUT Scott and Mark Hoying:

Scott Hoying is a GRAMMY award winning and Emmy-nominated singer, songwriter, and arranger from the multi-platinum selling acapella group, Pentatonix. He co-founded the group in 2010, and has headlined hundreds of shows all around the world. He is very active in the LGBTQ+ community and works closely with The Trevor Project. How Lucky Am I? is his first picture book.

Mark Hoying is a writer from Seattle, Washington. With his fiancée Scott Hoying, he co-wrote the original Christmas single titled “Thank You” on Pentatonix’s latest holiday album, “We Need A Little Christmas.” How Lucky Am I? is his first picture book.
