Author Meet and Greet with JB Harris and Kim McCollum

About this Event

Please join us in welcoming two authors to the store for a meet and greet.  JB Harris will be here signing copies of her book The Immigrant's Wife. The Immigrant's Wife is a compelling story of self-sacrifice, resilience and devotion.

J B Harris is happily married to her husband of 27 years, mom to three teenagers and two rescue dogs. She loves books, chocolate, wine, and traveling. A graduate of Emerson College's MFA program, she went on to teach fiction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels before publishing her short fiction in such publications as Boston Literary Journal, The Beacon Street Review, Puckerbrush Review, and Grasslimb. She was recently named a finalist in both the 2022 Hal Prize in Fiction and the WOW Spring 22 Flash Fiction Contest. The Immigrant's Wife is her debut novel and is based on a family history mystery that she promised her grandmother she would look into. Although The Immigrant's Wife is very loosely based on what information she could find, it is completely fictional. Still, she regrets that neither her grandmother nor her father survived to read it. Jennifer is currently working on her second novel touted as Still Alice meets Olive Kitteridge.

Joining her is Kim McCollum. Kim will be signing copies of her book What Happens in Montana. What Happens in Montana explores friendship, betrayal, and forgiveness with blunt truth and witty insights.

Kim McCollum graduated from Barnard College as a Japanese major and headed to work on Wall Street because she thought that was what she was supposed to do. After many miserable all-nighters and the birth of her first child, she chose to become a stay-at-home mom instead. Once the kids headed to school, she finally pursued her passion for writing and is nearly finished with her master's in creative writing at Harvard Extension School. She lives in Bozeman, MT with her husband, Brian, and their blended menagerie of five kids, three dogs, and eight spoiled chickens. What Happens in Montana is her first novel.
